So now we know that the impostor had the real Heart’s friends in ‘her’ Facebook account. Many of which had absolutely no clue that it is not the real person they are interacting with. The blog was on for a long time and frequently updated with posts from the fake ‘Heart’, until finally someone from pep.ph commented about it to the real Heart Evangelista.

She denied that she owned it. And, she gave them her real Facebook profile, which was rife with photos of her high school friends and really normal stuff that celebrities also go through. The fake profile had photos of contract signing moments and totally show business-related stuff that could have been obtained somewhere over the net. However, one could not call the fans or the followers of the fake account gullible because the impostor was very clever.

The blog was the cinching factor. The fake Heart talked (wrote) in such a way that an untrained observer could believe that she is who she claims she is. A blog endears a celebrity to her readers via the sharing of activities and feelings.

A celebrity who is always in the papers can be scrutinized by stalkers or impostors and imitated exactly. The way they speak, the way they dress, even their inflections and imperfections can be copied by someone who really wants to do so. See the parody artists? If those parody personalities can copy a celebrity’s identity, how much more the more malicious people who really want to mislead the celebrity’s followers? Thanks to the expose from pep and Heart’s (the real one) denial of ownership, fans now know better than to trust the fake profile.

Let’s talk credit cards! So if you’re an ordinary person and you managed to splurge your credit card enough that your card ‘bounces’ in a check out counter or a restaurant, it’s embarrassing right? Even if the people who saw you are just the cashier and the person behind you. You mentally try to use your invisibility powers or you visualize that you’re no bigger than a dot as you leave all your groceries behind and proceed to the nearby ATM to withdraw cash. People, of course, follow you with their eyes and you can feel the stares boring a hole in your back. You are shamed! Embarrassed! Maligned by your bank who coldly froze your credit limit and prevented you from buying stuff. Now, your groceries, including your showbiz magazines and your Splash deodorant are on the counter being moved to the side as people gossiped about your denied credit card.

Imagine this happening to a celebrity, like Miss Bratinella herself, Gretchen Barretto. Bratinella being the gayified term for brat (at least this is how i deduced the meaning). The credit card issue on her is that she paid for a bill in a restaurant using her card, the cashier tried it, told her that there’s something wrong with it…. then she threw a fit!

She allegedly screamed her indignation, stating the lofty words “We Own the Bank!!!” at the cashier. Lo, the cashier must have been shaking in her shoes as she tried to reason with the Philippine’s biggest bratinella. So, you judge. Does Gretchen need some emergency credit repair? Does her husband Tonyboy need to get her an advanced credit report before she went out on a splurging trip?

Or, the unthinkable…. Did Tonyboy FREEZE La Greta’s credit account?!?

Their relationship in the past was far from peaceful, reportedly due to Gretchen’s various friendships with other men. Gretchen’s friend Boy Abunda, of course, was a messiah of explanations. He said that the machine of the restaurant was at fault, not Gretchen’s card. Boy Abunda’s save proves that they ARE friends, doesn’t it? (evil grin)

To avoid similar credit card mishaps, lowly, normal individuals can avail of a free credit report prior to spending on a lot of things.

It makes me mushy to see KC and Sharon Cuneta photos in Paris, France. The megastar once mentioned in her show that “well someone has to stay here and pay for all of that you know,” half-kidding with her guests, when asked why she wasnt with her daughter in France for a particular occasion.

It touches my heart that Sharon gave her daughter that experience. Granted, Sharon is richer than most people, and she probably can afford all that, but just the gesture that she “wants her daughter to experience the things she didn’t” is beautiful. That, meaning the experience of going to school in another country, or going to college at all? She is such a sweet lady, and her daughter certainly made her proud.

KC is well beyond the dangerous time in Sharon’s past when she was enamored by a very handsome actor and got pregnant very young despite her strict upbringing. KC is an ambitious young woman who is into improving her craft more. Her going to France and seeing all those wonderful things that the country has to offer, including maybe staying at the Hotel Paris which I dream of doing, is her mom’s valuable gift to her. The sacrifice of love that moms give to their kids.
