The model-turned-actress Maggie Q (aka Maggie Quigley) poses nearly naked in advertisements for Peta. One advertisement features Maggie Q with lots of red chili peppers, while the other one features Maggie covered with lettuce leaves. Maggie has been a vegetarian for many years. She has refused to wear real fur while filming movie ‘Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon’ which also stars Hong Kong megastar Andy Lau.

A Singaporean fashion photographer’s current exhibit of 300 Asian stars has drawn protests from Hong Kong actor-singers Aaron Kwok and Andy Hui, whose managers have complained that pictures of their clients are too racy for public consumption.

Leslie Kee’s current “Super Stars” photo exhibit in Hong Kong, which is being sold as a book to raise funds for victims of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, includes pictures of top Asian stars including actresses Zhang Ziyi and Shu Qi, singer Faye Wong and action star Tony Jaa.

The women are generally dressed in colorful outfits — Gong is shown in a head shot and Zhang wears a silver and purple dress — but the men are in different stages of undress.

Many are topless, with Hong Kong singer-actors Aaron Kwok and Andy Hui shown near-naked, with their genitals sparsely covered.

Kwok, who just won best actor at the Chinese Oscars, the Golden Horse Awards, is shown standing, holding a pair of jeans to conceal his genitals.

Hui is shown lying back with a pair of jeans in between his crotch. His pubic hair is visible.

Photos purportedly showing a Hong Kong actor partially nude with several starlets were copied from his computer when it was serviced last year and later distributed over the Internet, police said yesterday.

The photographs, allegedly of actor and singer Edison Chen in bed with singer Gillian Chung along with suggestive images of actress Cecilia Cheung, were recently posted online, sparking a media frenzy in the celebrity-mad city.

While Chung’s company, Emperor Entertainment Group, initially said the photographs of the normally squeaky-clean star was a digital fake, Hong Kong police said some 1,300 private shots of celebrities had been stolen from a faulty personal computer belonging to an individual who took it to a computer shop for servicing.

“A person had taken his computer to be fixed, but during the maintenance period, someone used dishonest means to take some information from the computer and distributed this information indiscriminately to others,” assistant police commissioner Wong Fook-chuen said.

While the police gave no specific names, Hong Kong’s Ming Pao newspaper reported the photographs belonged to Edison Chen, 27.

“A person in the shop found hidden inside (Chen’s) computer, confidential nude pictures of naked female stars which were then secretly copied,” Ming Pao reported, quoting an anonymous source.

The computer shop was subsequently raided by police officers in a widening investigation across the special administrative region which has led to eight arrests for infringing obscene material laws and the seizure of over 1,000 explicit images including those of six women, four of whom were public figures, the police said.

In a statement on his blog (www.clotinc.com/blogs/public/edc) over the weekend, Chen criticized some of the recent media coverage and widespread publishing of the images.

“I would like for u (sic) to respect the situation that everyone is in and report the truth to the fullest,” he wrote.

He didn’t clarify whether the images had been faked or stolen, but his manager said Chen would cooperate with the police investigation.

Hong Kong’s police commissioner, Tang King-shing, said the case was being treated seriously and warned the possession and distribution of such images might be illegal.

According to the Malaysian police, they haven’t received any formal letters or calls from Hong Kong authorities yet, but they are ready to contact Hong Kong police through Interpol, asking for their cooperation. The case has been categorized into criminal code 354, according to which the criminal will be sentenced 2 years of prison.

Good to see that Malaysian authorities have taken this seriously and are acting relatively swiftly. Something we’re keenly interested in is how authorities in Hong Kong plan to deal with the Tabloid ‘Easyfinder’. Afterall, it’s crap tabloids like those and their readers who provide the financial incentives to paparazzi to stoop to ever lower levels to get the biggest ‘money shot’ of celebrities. The media storm surrounding Edison Chen has continued to rage, with two photos of what is alleged to be a naked Cecilia Cheung surfacing on the internet. One photo shows a naked woman from the back. The other photo shows a woman in lingerie with her nipples exposed, fingering her crotch.

Explicit photos allegedly showing Edison in bed with rumored ex-girlfriend Gillian Chung and him with ex-girlfriend Bobo Chan have already appeared on the web.

A rumor in the Hong Kong tabloid newspapers and internet discussion boards is that all the photos were hacked from Edison’s PC.

Local media and internet discussion boards have been debating whether or not the images are fakes, with some using old photographs of the stars in question to highlight body features and old images of Edison’s home to highlight furniture features, to argue their case in a game of “spot the difference” or “spot the similarity”.
